Sapa is a small, tranquil town that lies a mile high on the Hoang Lien Son mountain range along the Chinese border which includes Fan Si Pan – the country’s highest peak with 3,143 m high, located about 350 km northwest of Ha Noi. Lying at nearly 4,000 feet and in the farthest north of the country, the weather here coldest in all city of Vietnam during winter.

There main ethnic groups in Sapa which are the Hmong, Dao, Tay, Giay – wearing traditional dress of hand woven and dyed clothes and dyed and silver jewels sparking with iridescent colours. It’s unique of numerous ethnic communities living in this region.
